Celebrate Mother's Day With Us in Henderson!

Come out to Water Street for our annual Art Festival of Henderson! This two-day event showcases contemporary artists, unique crafts, music and more. The festival is a juried art show featuring many talented artisans from throughout the region. Visitors will enjoy a variety of art demonstrations, including a chalk art gallery, glass blowing as well as activities, daily entertainment and food vendors.

Bring your friends and family to meet these talented artists, and enjoy the creativity on display throughout the Water Street District during Mother’s Day weekend.

Helldorado Days Parade

Description:

The Helldorado Days Parade, an annual event celebrating Las Vegas and its history, begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, on Fourth Street from Gass to Stewart Avenue in downtown Las Vegas. Everyone is invited to line the parade route or sit in the grandstand to enjoy the two-hour parade.

Expect to see 10 school marching bands, Zelzah Shriner flivver cars, hundreds of costumed dancers, plenty of equestrian groups, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, school and business floats, the city’s Big Red fire truck and so much more; 142 entries are scheduled.

The grandstand is located at Fourth and Bridger Avenue and seats approximately 100 people. Food trucks behind the grandstand will offer refreshments for sale. Helldorado swag will be given away to parade attendees. Parking is available in several nearby locations; see the map. Event parking in City Parkway, City Hall and City Center parking garages will cost $6 for the day.

A committee will judge the entries during the parade and prizes will be awarded, including $500 for the best marching band and $500 for the best historic Las Vegas-themed float. Other categories include Best School Float, Best Overall Entry, Most Creative, Best Theme, Best Equestrian, Best Car Club, Best Motorized Vehicle Group/Entry, Best Dancing Group, Best Walking Group and Best Casino Entry. KSNV News 3 anchors will be masters of ceremonies as well as judges. The parade will not be televised.

Parade goers should bring water, hats, chairs, umbrellas for shade and sunscreen. Parade entries closed April 17, 2026; there is no fee to enter or attend the parade.

May 15, 2026, is the 121st anniversary of the land auction in 1905, which marks the beginning of Las Vegas. This parade was created in 1935. For more information on the Helldorado Days Parade, call 702.229.4859.

Jazz Under the Stars

Description:

Bring the whole family to enjoy a free jazz concert featuring renowned jazz vocalist Naomi Mauro starting at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8. Relax under the stars as the acclaimed big band, The Jazz Vegas Orchestra, dazzles with iconic Big Band standards and new music from celebrated local arrangers at Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre, located at 7101 N. Buffalo Drive.

Bring chairs and blankets to be more comfortable on the lawn. No pets are allowed in the amphitheatre. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is presented by the city of Las Vegas and Jazz Outreach Initiative.
