Experience the tastiest sights, sounds, and smells of some of the best barbecue in the country. From fun festival food and beverage tents to the Best Dam Car Show and Best Dam Rib Eating Contest attendees can expect a family friendly event start to finish at this year’s Annual Best Dam Barbecue on Friday, May 23 and Saturday May 24.

The Best Dam Barbecue is the largest fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Boulder City and has become a staple event for the Boulder City community. The competition starts on Friday at 12pm and awards for various categories will be presented Friday evening and Saturday afternoon in Bicentennial Park located at 999 Colorado Street.“Indulge” in fun festival food from our returning favorite food truckies. From Funnel Cakes and Shaved Ice to delicious Barbecue Favorites, washed down with an ice cold Beer, glass of Wine, or a refreshing Margarita. The Boulder City Cruisin’ Association will also be on hand with their car show!

As summer draws near, Opportunity Village is hosting a new event on May 25 to ring in Las Vegas’ hottest season.

Magic in May at the Magical Forest takes place from 6-9 p.m., May 25 at Opportunity Village’s Smith Family Campus, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. The event features more than 11 magicians plus a cocktail tasting through the Magical Forest. Admission costs $100 per person for general admission, or $150 for a VIP ticket that includes preferred seating, drink ticket, and a meet and greet with the magicians and a behind the scenes look at a magic trick.

Featured magicians performing include Mac King, Piff the Magic Dragon, Christopher Hart, Nick Diffatte, Luke Harrison, Joan Dukore, Peter Studebaker, Jacob Jax, Vinny Grosso, Adam London, Matt Donnelly, and surprise guests.

Magic in May at the Magical Forest is a 21+ event. A cash bar and specialty food options will be available inside Camelot Hall during the show.
