Description:

The City of Henderson invites you to celebrate the holidays all month long, beginning with the annual kick-off, WinterFest! This special tradition returns with the popular feature: a drone show in the sky! The first night is the tree lighting ceremony and drone show. The second night is the Electric Light Parade! There will be plenty of winter cheer along with a variety of holiday entertainment including performances by Rockapella and Henderson Symphony Orchestra, and festive illumination of holiday décor at the Water Street Plaza.

You do not want to miss the biggest holiday event in Southern Nevada. Join us for all the festivities under the lights of the beautiful Water Street District! Presented by Nevada State Bank.

Description:

The hottest festival is coming to town! Kick off the holidays with great food, mariachi and folklorico performances at this free family-friendly event. Come taste the best tamales in Las Vegas and listen to the beautiful sounds of mariachi music. The festival will also include a day full of Mexican antojitos, folklorico dance and arts and craft vendors. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Headlining the festival entertainment is three-time Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos. Acclaimed by audiences at the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and other major U.S. venues, their skillfully arranged versions of classic mariachi tunes, blended with regional styles of traditional music, are a delight to ears nationwide. Returning to the festival is also Grammy Award winner Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea, Edwin Origel Mendez and Mariachi Alma del Sol.

Parking will be available in the City Centre covered parking garage, accessible from Third Street/Clark Avenue. Fourth Street will be closed all day between Clark and Lewis avenues starting at 6 a.m. Dec. 7 to allow additional space for the festival. Other downtown streets will be closed 5 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 7 for the Las Vegas Great Santa Run, including most streets from Carson Avenue to Hoover Avenue and from Third to Tenth streets; that includes Las Vegas Boulevard from Bridger Avenue to Hoover. Parking also is available at the city garage at 500 S. Main St.

Bring your family and friends to witness the magic of the holiday season come alive as decorated boats parade through Lake Mead.

BOATERS: Decorate your boat and be entered to WIN BIG! Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

What’s Happening: Boaters will decorate their boats and participate in the Parade of Lights down at Boulder Beach at Lake Mead, continuing in front of some exterior docks at Las Vegas Boat Harbor. Winners: $500 cash prize for the Best in Show and trophies in three categories.
