Description:

The festival is free and open to the public of all ages, hosted by the city of Las Vegas and sponsored in part by Stoney’s North Forty and the Santa Fe Station. Enjoy bluegrass and Americana music by award-winning bands.

Browse a wide array of folk art, jewelry and other items in the artisan marketplace, and enjoy tasty barbecue, seafood, burgers, tacos, sweet treats and plenty of other festival foods, along with beverages, beer and margaritas available for purchase.

Children can enjoy a festival area designed just for them, with games, make-and-take art projects and free face painting 12:30 - 5pm. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs and blankets to be more comfortable on the outdoor lawn seating in the park’s amphitheater.

Grammy Award and Country Music Association Award winner Dan Tyminski and his band will headline the event. Tyminski (guitar, mandolin, vocals) was a featured member of the Allison Krauss & Union Station band, and perhaps is best known as the singing voice of George Clooney’s character in the Coen Brothers film, O Brother, Where Art Thou? His recording of “I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow” was named Song of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 2001. He has been honored with 14 Grammy Awards and is a four-time Male Vocalist of the Year honoree by IBMA. The band will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., closing out a lineup that features some of the best bluegrass and Americana bands in the nation.

Description:

Join us this Spring for a rejuvenating yoga session designed to nurture your inner well-being while appreciating the splendor of the nature. Set amidst vibrant flower blooms, a beautiful green vegetable garden and picturesque mountains, this event offers you a chance to connect with your mental health, and flourish from within! Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you'll enjoy your yoga journey with Gilcrease Orchard!

TICKET DETAILS:

Price: $25 + transaction fees.
1 ticket per person. Attendees must be 12 years old or older.
Ticket includes: one-hour of yoga session, refreshments and a plant of potted flowers.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
In the event of weather cancellation, a voucher will be issued for a future event.

PREPARATION GUIDELINES:

Bring a yoga mat
Dress appropriate for the weather
Bring a hat, sunscreen, and towel
Wear closed toe shoes and be mindful of uneven ground

EVENT SCHEDULE:

SUNRISE 6:15AM-6:30AM/ SUNSET 5:30PM-5:45PM: Arrive early to check-in and get settled in the field.
SUNRISE 6:30AM-7:30AM/ SUNSET 5:45PM-6:45PM: Classes are conducted by a professional instructor from Yoga For Life Las Vegas. Relax your mind and rejuvenate your spirit with our guided yoga session amidst nature's beauty.
SUNRISE 7:30AM-7:45AM/ SUNSET 6:45PM-7:00PM: Enjoy fresh drinks and interact with fellow participants while appreciating the ranunculus flower field.

Please keep in mind that the rest of the Orchard remains closed at this time.

Las Vegas Celtic Festival and Highland Games

Description:

The Las Vegas Celtic Society is dedicated to promoting Celtic heritage in Southern Nevada. They do that by throwing the annual Las Vegas Highland Games, as well as supporting other local groups such as the Southern Nevada Sons and Daughters of Erin, the St. Andrews Society of Southern Nevada, and the Las Vegas Pipe Band through volunteering, scholarships, and donations.

The Las Vegas Celtic Society is a group of like-minded folks who got together in 2004 to organize a Celtic Gathering and Highland Games in Las Vegas. Some love Highland Dance, Some love Bagpipe and Drum Bands, and some love Heavy Athletics, but all want to celebrate their heritage in a fun, educational way.
